What health and safety practices have you implemented due to COVID-19?
What health and safety practices have you implemented due to COVID-19?
We have implemented the following, in adherence to the San Francisco Health Order requirements and recommendations:
- Temperature and symptom checks are conducted
- Two HEPA air purifiers
- Face shield and face mask are worm
- Sanitizing of equipment and space, after every use
- Appointments are scheduled with 30-minutes in between, to allow air circulation
- Hand sanitizers provided

Things to Avoid Pre-Facial so it doesn't backfire on your skin:
- Don't: Wax Within 24 Hours of Your Facial
- Don't: Spend Time in the Sun the Day Before
- Don't: Get Botox
- Don't: Get Eyelash Extensions
- Don't: Use Exfoliating Products
Things to Avoid after a facial:
- Don't: Visit the steam room or jacuzzi
- Don't: Wax, Shave Or Have Laser Hair Removal
- Don't: Excessive exercize
- Don't: Sunbathe
- Don't: Pick at your skin
- Don't: Use at-home peels or retinol
- Don't: Not use SPF 30 or higher

What is LED Light Therapy?
LED light therapy is a popular noninvasive skin treatment for acne, sun damage, wounds, and other skin problem. The treatment uses varying wavelengths of light to trigger the skin’s natural healing processes to repair the skin. Several treatments are necessary to see results. LED stands for light-emitting diode. These lights have been in use since the 1960s, but people have only recently begun to use them as a skin treatment. NASA originally developed LED lights for plant growth experiments in space.
Treatment Contraindications for LED Light Therapy
- If you are pregnant, do consult their physician before beginning LED light therapy treatments.
- Clients with Epilepsy should consult their physician before beginning LED light therapy treatments.
- You must wait five days after Botox or cosmetic fillers.
- Some Thyroid Conditions.
- People with a history of skin cancer

What is Microcurrent?
Microcurrent therapy sends low-level electrical currents into your skin that are nearly identical to the body’s own natural electrical frequencies. This technology works at the cellular level, increasing adenosine triphosphate, or ATP, the energy currently in your cells and the body’s most basic fuel.

Contraindications to microcurrent use:
- Pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices
- Epilepsy
- Pregnancy
- Cancer
- Thrombosis
- Phlebitis
- Metal plates or pins in the application area
- Under a physician's care for a disorder, illness, disease, or injury

What do I need to know before or after waxing services?
What do I need to know before or after waxing services?
Before your appointment
- Do not use Retin-A, Glycolics, or chemical peels for 5-7 days before your waxing appointment
- Do not use Accutane for at least 28 days before treatment
- Hair should be around 1/8” to 1/4” in length by the time of your appointment
- Do not get any waxing 5 days before your period
- No tanning (or spray tanning) 24 hours before
Aftercare
- No tanning and avoid sun exposure.
- Avoid high temperatures for 24 hours. (Saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, or working out). Sweat harbors bacteria.
- Showers are okay but avoid submersion in water. (Lakes, pools, hot tubs, bath).
- Exfoliate & moisturize regularly.
- You may use a cool compress or take an anti-histamine to calm any irritation of the skin.
- Must wear SPF-30 or higher
